Help:Wireless Connection stopped working.
I have begun again with a new fresh install, so the wireless interface has been autmatically named 'eth1'. I have not changed it to 'wlan0' this time. The interface on the working system remains 'wlan0'. dmesg reports this when the wireless pccard is ejected and reinserted (identical on both systems): pccard: card

posted here before because the wireless network I set up for my neighbour suddenly stopped working (it worked well for about 3 months) in respect of the shared internet connection(file sharing still works). The update numbers were: KB911927 KB011961 KB911564 KB911565 KB913446 KB890830 Anyone know if these updates affected wireless networking? It isn't clear from the update information. This is the only change that occurred on my PC before the wireless stopped working. The router works fine direct cable connected.

I thought that I could bridge the two by having a computer with both wireless and wired NICs, left on. After installing the wireless NIC the wired card stopped working and after removing it the wired card started working again. Is there any way to make both work at the same time.
